I know I've told Cam that several times, just dry your feet off in the shower then step on the mat or throw a towel over it then step... but no, soaking wet feet go on the mat & then the soaking wet body drips on it. GROSS GROSS GROSS!!! I don't know what it is, but actually its any surface thats wet that shouldn't be and you're not expecting it. Magnify my hatred for this by 1000 if I have socks on, there is nothing more disgusting than wet socks.
So, if you couldn't guess and haven't read any of my previous entries... Cam is home. I love that he is home safe and sound, but living with someone is certainly an adjustment. We lived together for about a month and half before he deployed & before that he was in training, so we're still learning each others quirks and habits. For instance, Cam likes to turn on every light in the bedroom while he's in the shower... 4 lights in the ceiling fan, 1 in the closet, 1 in the bathroom, and the 10 at the vanity. I haven't asked, but maybe he's afraid of the dark... in the middle of the afternoon? I, however, freak out at all the lights being on & even more so since its day time & windows/blinds can be open to let sun in. At night, Cam doesn't turn a damn light on & if I have even one on he wants it off... what the heck?! I am weird about having people in the kitchen while I'm cooking, our kitchen isn't small & there's enough room for 2-3 people, but if you're not in there doing something productive GET OUT! Cam thinks I'm weird because I "recycle" ice, I mean if I've finished my drink there's still ice in the cup and I'm getting the same drink why do I need new ice? HIs argument, "we have an ice maker, it gives us free ice I'm going to use it" but we pay for water & electricity making the ice NOT FREE. I have also got to get used to Cam's "drop it leave it' method... yes thats right my husband leaves anything laying where he took it off or dropped it. There were 4 pairs of shoes in the living room yesterday, all belonging to my husband, this morning I wake up and there are a pair of pajama pants. This method doesn't only take place with shoes and clothes, there was a cup from last night on the coffee table, my wii remote too, on the bar there is who knows what. I guess because I'm a shoe fanatic I don't understand leaving shoes out, I take mine up they go back in their box and in the closet. Dirty clothes, in the hamper, I swear thats why we have one- but apparently its a "catch-all". Those are just a few things that will take some training and adjusting- I just need patience, which isn't something that comes naturally to me.
As you know, today is Friday, usually I do a "fill-in friday" but today the questions just didn't really interest me. Maybe next week.

I took a picture of our living room the other day. I'll try to remember to text it to you later.
ReplyDeleteK walks in the door. Takes off boots. Takes about 10 steps, takes off socks, drops socks. Takes another 10 or 15 steps towards the kitchen, takes off jacket, drops jacket. Walks down the hallway (opposite direction) towards the bedroom, and randomly peels the rest of his clothes off, and drops them of the floor. I always have a trail.
If you're going to wind up in the bedroom ANYWAYS, throw your damn clothes in the basket while you're in there!!!
It's a boy thing, I swear.
Oh my gosh, I would kill Cam if there was a trail. His jacket usually stays in his truck. Obviously since he throws everything on top of the hamper he knows its there, maybe he's not aware of what its used for? I might have to give him a lesson. I was on laundry strike before he deployed because of this, he must have forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI agree, its a boy thing... my dad does the trail thing and the shoe thing.
