so today was rather productive. I've cleaned both the bathrooms & i mean scrubbed- but don't worry my pregnant self was safe lol. I had to take Reese to get one of her vaccines updated and we went on 2 long walks today. However, I am a little concerned about her, she hasn't eaten much today or yesterday & so i'm going to have to keep a good eye on it. This weekend is memorial weekend, I am here not doing anything except hanging out with Reese. Tomorrow Reese has her last day of doggy training, she gets to graduate & wear a cap and get a diploma (how awesome!). I just have to decide if I'm going to put her in intermediate training classes or not. Right now, its raining, not as hard as it was- but enough that having skylights is annoying me. It came out of nowhere & was hailing and all & I couldn't hear my tv because of the skylights & they're bubble they have on the outside. I hate living in this place, its nice because its not ghetto & its quiet and I feel safe but its so far from EVERYTHING! Going out & getting groceries is a 30 minute trip, going to base 30 min, fast food 30 min, you see where I'm going with this? I'm ready to be nearer to civilization & make it easier to have gatherings with some friends I've made and to go out and meet people as well. I have to call our realtor on Tuesday to see if she has gotten any listings together for us like I asked. Otherwise, I guess we'll just sign another 6 months here and get out as soon as its over! I feel bad a little because Cam likes it here, but its easy to like when you don't have to spend much time here, or when it doesn't matter about making friends (he can be so anti-social). Anyways, I'll be in Myrtle Beach soon visiting the in-laws & so that should give me a few days break & maybe I'll come back here feeling refreshed, or either more stressed who really knows.
Anywho, I'm now 21weeks 3days pregnant. I go to the doctor again this week, but we're just going to do weight, bp, & baby's heartrate. Hopefully Saige, cooperates & isn't too much of a wiggleworm. I'm excited to know how strong her heartbeat is, I haven't heard it or seen it since the very first time (kind of cruel don't you think?). My aunt & I are in cahoots about my babyshower & throwing my mom a grandma shower at the same time. Who knew when you become a grandma you get to have a grandma shower? Yet something else for me to look forward to one day!

halfway there...
As of yesterday I am 20weeks pregnant. I'm still not showing much & still no weight gain. My jeans definitely feel the difference though, I'm keeping them closed with a hair-tie lol. Our little girl is half way through her development process & soon I'll be looking at her little face. She is a mover thats for sure. Everytime we get ultrasounds she's moving all around & not wanting her picture taken- I'll fix that though lol. I can feel her movements, but they're mostly still flutters. Sometimes she's rolling around & dancing on my bladder. I just got a cartwheel as I type this. So yesterday my sister & I went to Babies r' us and registered for some stuff... it was soooo much fun! Almost overwhelming! So now I just need to have someone plan my babyshower- and decide if I want it to be in VA or NC.

19 weeks & counting..
It's true, today I am 19 weeks pregnant, 21 weeks to go & it is hard to believe I'm at the halfway point. I guess it would be easier to believe if I was really showing & had gained some weight. I have been feeling a lot more movements from this child of mine, it is sooo exciting! Cam & I decided on a name for our little girl, Saige Kimberly. Her middle name is in honor of my aunt that passed almost 2 years ago after a very long struggle with breast cancer. It makes me sad that she isn't here to see all of these wonderful things going on in my life and didn't get to meet my husband and will never know our baby girl. Thankfully I was touched by her and can carry some of her traits with me.
Reese is laying here next to me, growling & barking at whoever shut their car door too loudly outside. How dare they disturb her nap, she only slept from 9pm-830am and 2 other naps this morning. I wish I could get a nap in, but she isn't wild about that idea- so in order for me to get a good nap I have to put her in her crate. I need to go do some running around & get her a new crate pad and some dog food... but since its been raining off and on I think I'll stay home. I can get her food tomorrow, after I got meet up with some lovely Bragg ladies for lunch!

sink or swim...
its funny how you learn this life lesson, even more funny when you watch your puppy learn it! My parents were here thursday - saturday (today) morning, so me & Reese got the pleasure of entertaining (which we're very good at!). Anyways, sometimes when I walk Reese I take her to the little pond down the street and let her splash around and swim. She's investigated the depths of the water just one other time before friday & didn't seem to fond of it. So we decided to take her to the pond & let her play. We threw sticks in the water & she ran in after them and came back out, but never went deep... until my dad threw a stick for her! She ran & jumped in the water and went under immediately, for about 3.5 seconds, then came up with a panicked look on her face & quickly learned how to swim! It was hilarious, I about died laughing from it. Poor Reese had no interest in the water after that so we walked back to the house. I thought all dogs knew how to swim, but I guess not. I have since come to the conclusion that everyone/thing has at least one near death drowning experience & so to ensure my dog is not a sinker, I will be investing in a life vest for her safety.
Oh, so I am 18weeks 4days pregnant today! My parents & I went to the doctor on friday and had the anatomy scan & gender determination! I am having a little girl!!!! The doctor said that she looks perfect & right on schedule! Her head looks a little big, but its probably because she has her mommy's brain! Baby didn't want to cooperate with the ultrasound tech & show her face, so I didn't get a good face picture of her, but I did get a good foot picture! Cam & I are both very excited to finally know what we're having and now I can start registering and buying things!
