moving = my worst enemy

I am writing this blog in the Pages program on my Mac, because I have no internet (also, no cable or telephone).  I turned all the equipment in to the company today so that I could be free & clear of anyone’s crap that wasn’t mine & couldn’t go with us.  I won’t have internet, phone or cable until monday afternoon... my weekend should be f-ing fabulous!  The good thing (maybe?) is that I’ll be busy, because we’re moving & trying to get most everything unpacked and set up before Monday when Cam goes into work.  We’re still at Bragg (no, no don’t be excited this place is for the birds), just a bigger house & closer to people instead of cows.  This is a very short notice sort of move, because the lady we’ve been working with neglects calling anyone back until the absolute last minute.  So, because its a short move I am cramming everything into days, not weeks, but days (and I mean 3-4) to get everything over with.  On top of this, I have Reese to entertain & keep out of my ass.  Saige needs to be played with, fed, changed, and put down for her nap(s).  While I’m packing, I’m trying to really clean, and get rid of things that we don’t want anymore and can donate or what needs to be trashed.  I don’t feel like I’m getting anything done, because I have to do ALL OF THAT... where is Cam you ask?  Good freaking question, this would be the week where they’re working until 6-7pm or if they get out at 5 he’s not home until 6 because traffic is so bad.  Oh yeah, and then He got off early (like 2) Thursday because he had to be back at work at 1am thru whenever to do who knows what.  This was supposed to count as his duty, but in regular Army fashion things change when you need them to work they way its supposed to, so Cam is standing duty (or whatever the Army calls it) until tomorrow morning.  I am here alone to do all of this crap, yet another day this week.  Seriously, I know what I married into, I was/am prepared to do any and everything on my own... but really, sometimes I would just like a damn break.  To make things even more interesting, Cam will be running off of 3 hours sleep before working 31 hours & then having to load our truck full of our crap.  He should be pleasant (notice the sarcasm) & understandably so.  The highlight of all of this, WE BOUGHT NEW FURNITURE!  We got a steal of a deal, new couch, loveseat, coffee table & mattress/box spring set for $2000.  Up next on our list of purchases are blinds, dining set, & lamps for our house.  Yes, lamps because apparently having light fixtures in the ceiling is not the cool thing to do, who would’ve thought?
Anywho, hopefully I’ll survive this & write another blog to tell you all about the adventures.
PS, my mom & sister are coming to help move & watch Saige, SCORE!  I need a little taste of home.
