Its Thursday & that means...

I'm linking up with Goodnight Moon for What's your song Thursday.

This week, I'm choosing my song, because it was a courageous move and different.  I'm not sure if I like/love it or not, but its different and has been stuck in my head.

This isn't an official video, so its going to be boring to "watch"

Fill in Friday

Its that time again,
Questions are submitted to Wife of a Sailor, who then posts 5 each friday for you to answer.

Does your Significant Other read your blog?  Why is this a good or a bad thing? submitted byMrs. Alana’s Miscellan
He doesn't, but its just because he has no interest in blogging.  Occasionally I'll read him a few of my posts or other posts I think are interesting.

What is one item in your house that holds the most sentimental value and why? submitted byThe Albrecht Squad
Hmm, I would have to say my pictures.  I keep them all in one place and the negatives I have are all locked in our safe.

When it comes to water fun in the summer do you prefer the beach, the pool, a lake, or the sprinklers? submitted by The Turvo Times
Pool, I can see the bottom!  I like the beach if I want to do an all day outdoor thing with a guaranteed nap at the end though.

What is the one special thing that you do for yourself to get you through the first week of a deployment/separation? submitted by A Creed and a Psalm
I went back to my hometown the day I dropped Cam off last deployment.  It was nice to be around family and made me keep strong.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure website? submitted by Christine’s Little Blog
I love shopping online, so I'll go to all of my faves and fill my carts & go through the whole checkout until I have to enter my card number... and then I stop.

As it turns out,

sleep training hasn't been as difficult as I had imagined.  Saige has transitioned to her crib rather nicely for bed time... nap time we're working on.  She seems to have recognized the designated bed time & routine we have going and embraces it, in fact she's usually rubbing those beautiful blue eyes & getting whiney just about the time the clock strikes 8pm.  Her sleeping through the night isn't quite there yet, but she's not waking up too much (usually 2x) and is easy to get back to sleep.

Nap time.  There are 2 to 3 naps a day, but they are short lived (usually 30-45min), she's not much of a napper.  I try to get her to at least nap on our bed, sometimes I lay her with her boppy on the couch.  I introduced the crib at naps twice, both ended horribly... BLOOD.CURDLING.SCREAMS.  I'm not too concerned with this, because I'm getting better sleep at night and so is she, nap time will come on another date.

What's your song?

Is it Thursday already?  I guess it is, the week is flying by (might have something to do with Cam being off Monday and Tuesday).

Kenny Chesney ft Grace Potter

Now, I don't like too much Kenny Chesney, but I don't know what it is, but something about this song hits me.  I JUST. LOVE. IT.  I think its because I'm a fan of tequila (well when I drank) and it reminds me of my husband.  We have our days when we just can't seem to find a common ground, and want to strangle one another but I wouldn't want to go through that with anyone else in the world.  Even on these days, I love him and want nothing more than to have that feeling pulsing through my body.

Wordless Wednesday:

Thanks to my friend Carissa, I am now embarking on the journey of blogging on Wednesday without too many words.  Of course, today I seem to be failing haha.

Pretty in Pink!!!

FIll-in Friday

Have you (spouse) ever considered joining the military and what do you think of dual military couples? submitted by Project Army Wife
I have honestly never wanted to join the military, and if I'm going to be even more honest, I never thought I would date & marry someone who was in the service.  I think dual military couples are awesome, it takes an enormous amount of patience, respect, trust, & communication to have both members be in the service.

What is your idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon? submitted by A Few of My Favorite Things
Me.Doing.Nothing.!!!  I loved living at home with my parents & on Sundays my mom & I wouldn't lift a finger other than to eat, and change the channel on the TV.

What do you usually do for the 4th of July holiday? submitted by Anchor’s Away
When I was living back home we would go to my Aunt's house for a cookout, its been 2 years since I've done something with family though.

If they could make an Olympic event JUST for you that you know you’d medal in, what would it be? submitted by Pants are Confusing
Procrastinating.  Gold Medal, without a doubt.

What have you been doing to get yourself bathing suit ready for the summer? submitted byNot Just an Army Wife
Nothing, and a lot of it.  I'm ashamed.

This weekend.

Its fourth of July weekend (really where has the year gone?), and I can't think of any plans we have here.  I thought about getting things for us to grill, but I don't know that I feel up to going to the store.  I may surprise myself and go.  While we don't have any plans to go & do or have people over, we do have BIG PLANS to get Saige to nap and sleep nights in her crib.  As of now, she's sleeping in her pack'n play in our room & at some point during the night I move her in our bed to feed her & get her back to sleep.  I'm not saying that this won't happen still once she's in her room, but it will be less convenient.  I'm sort of sad to start this journey, I've said from the beginning that I would like her to be about 9 months old or so going into her own bed and here she is almost that age.  She really is growing so fast... she wants to stand up, sit up, and reach for everything she can (even if its out of reach).  She's babbling "momma" and "nnnonono", I'm also really conscious of saying what I'm doing with her or naming what the object is she's playing with.  She loves to play with the piano app on my phone, hopefully she loves the piano because I've always dreamed of having a kid that would play.

What are your 4th of July plans?
